Cannot believer an entire week has flown by already! It has been a crazy busy/hectic week, but a great one! I feel like I have known these girls I am working with my whole life now, and we are becoming such great friends!
Yesterday we worked most of the day, and the colony team came to talk with us! We learned a lot about extension of chapters, and I got to meet Mrs. Mary, our National Council Vice President of Membership. She is SO awesome to work with. I aspire to be the lady she is one day!
Last night was the Olympics Opening Ceremony, and so naturally, us Mus had to celebrate! Hara had us a "Party in the USA" at her house with Kerri Slezak. It was so much fun. We had Mellow Mushroom pizza, olympic torch dessert, and even dreamcakes! ;) My favorite part by far though was seeing Hara's shoe room. I am SO jealous of her as she has over 200 pairs of shoes, and btw we wear the same size! A girl can never have too many shoes.
Today, we were up and at em again bright and early. We trained all day, and I got to speak with a lot of the women I will be traveling to visit soon. I cannot wait! I also found out my lovely Auburn women rented me a nice historic venue to stay at. They have already been so kind to me, and I'm not even there yet. Chik-Fil-A was the dinner of choice after our busy day, and I'm not complaining. I got to get an ice cream cone, and I didn't spill it in my lap this time. Ha!
Being a consultant has already taught me so much about who I am as a person, and I cannot wait to start working with my sisters on recruitment when I start traveling. Recruitment is my favorite time of the year, and I'm going to be traveling helping with recruitment all over.
Well, I'm off to watch a little bit of the Olympics, and then I'm "fixin to" head to work out since I pushed snooze too many times this morning! This whole getting up early is going to take some getting used to!
Also, I forgot to mention, I purchased my first pair of Kate Spade earrings today, and of course I had to get pink! I cannot wait for them to come in. Having a big girl job now is just going to make me want to spend it all on cute things! Gonna have to budget.....
Update you all more soon.

Welcome to the Real World, Phi Mu Style!
Day 2 of Phi Mu Chapter Consultant training was so much fun, and I learned a lot as well. I thought I learned a lot of things as President of my chapter, but there is still much more to learn. I'm loving every minute of it and soaking it up.
First, the #lucky13 (which is what our group of consultants call ourselves!) learned ALL we would ever want to know about insurance. I no longer feel stupid when it comes to that, and I think I might understand agents from now on.
The highlight of today by far though was our lunch with the National President of Phi Mu, Kris Bridges. She taught us all about table etiquette, and I am proud to say I now know how to sit at a formal dinner and not be completely nervous about how to act appropriately. I want to go to a formal dinner now just to practice! :) The one thing she said that stuck out to me the most though is that etiquette is about making everyone at the table feel comfortable, and I completely agree!
I also got to try Panera Bread for the first time in my life. I am eating all kinds of things I have never even heard of before since I've been here. Broadening my horizons for sure, considering I had Hibachi for the first time last night too. I had to go to Chik-Fil-A tonight to get an ice cream cone since theirs are my absolute favorite. However, as I was driving home I spilt the whole entire thing in my lap! Guess it just wasn't meant to be. Ha!
Can't forget to mention I received my first paycheck today. Haven't received a real one of those all summer, and so I definitely feel like I am in the real world now. I like it though! :) Getting paid to travel the world and help my sisters for an organization that I love more than anything is a dream. I'm living the dream, and I looooooooooove it! More to come later this week, and pictures soon too!

Phi Mu America
Well, today was the big day. I left for Peachtree City, GA for my two weeks of Consultant training before I head out to visit chapters. It was a very emotional day as it is hard saying goodbye to my family and friends, but I am so excited to see what God has in store for me in this chapter of my life.
I honestly couldn't have came more prepared. Without the help of my mom, dad, and Timothy...I don't know what I'd do. I set out today with two suitcases and a duffle bag my parents helped me purchase. Along with my brand new camera daddy researched for me to spend my graduation money on! (Pictures to come soon, once I figure out how to actually use it! ha!!) And not to forget, Timothy who helped me get all my technology straight before I set out. I feel so prepared and official now :)
Anyways, many of you know what a home body I am, and this is a huge step for me, considering I have only been away from Cookeville for two weeks at the longest in my entire life. However, I really feel like this is a great time for me to lean on God and strengthen my faith, as well as make an impact in the Phi Mu world and in the lives of so many girls! I know this will be the time of my life. Traveling as a professional sorority girl sounds like the perfect job right? I think so! I will be going to Auburn, Purdue, USC, and Penn State all in the next month. I will keep you all updated. Thanks for all the prayers and support my family and friends have already shown me. More to come soon!!!
